This breeding has a 10-generation Coefficient of Inbreeding (COI) of 8.8% (or click here for a detailed 10 generation breakdown) and are expected around May 18, 2005. Spirit's COI is 5% and this breeding is a distant line breeding back to our Uyak and T'domar roots. Calvin's pedigree is 100% Taolan. Spirit's pedigree is Wayeh, Kiwaliks, Kodara, Baylor, Kohoutec, & Karohunta.
Both parents have been screened for known health problems, and have excellent temperaments.. Inquires can be made to the above email address. All applicants are carefully screened and will be asked to complete a questionnaire to help us make the best match for a puppy with it's new home.
Puppies are tested for temperaments and are stimulated from the beginning using Dr. Carmen Battaglia's Early Neurological Stimulation. As they mature we introduce them to collars, walking on a leash, and the early stages of potty training on leash. Using Lee Fishback's method of picking lead dogs in his booklet "Training Lead Dogs", we pick who we think will work best as team and potential lead dogs. As the puppies develop we are continually evaluating and grading our puppies to help determine their strengths. At 8 weeks of age we use the Pat Hastings' Puppy Puzzle for the final evaluation of the litter, after this the puppies are considered ready for placement with their new pack members (families and owners).
